LaunchLens is a directory of newly launched software tools. Creators list a product, a moderator reviews it, and it goes out to people looking for exactly that kind of thing.

How a listing gets here

Anyone with a confirmed account can submit a product they own or represent. Nothing publishes itself: a moderator reads every listing before it goes live, and once a listing is published, later edits are reviewed the same way — the approved version stays up in the meantime. Rejections come with a reason, and the creator can fix and resubmit.

How we make money, and what it does not buy

Three ways, all of them visible:

• Paid tiers. A paid listing is reviewed sooner, sits above free listings on category and tag pages, is pinned in the weekly email, and carries a gold Pro mark. It is not reviewed more kindly — paying does not make a listing likelier to be approved.
• Spotlight. Advertising, sold by the week. Spotlight cards are labelled Sponsored everywhere they appear, and a spotlight never changes how a product's link is treated.
• Affiliate links. Where we earn a commission on a click, that link carries rel="sponsored" — always, even when the product would otherwise have earned a followed link.

What money does not buy: the chronological feed, search results, or the weekly leaderboard. Those are ordered by time and by votes, and reordering them for advertisers would make them worth reading to nobody.

How we treat links

A listed product earns a followed link by putting our badge on its own site — that is a real exchange, and we check periodically that the badge is still there. Everything else is marked sponsored, and free listings without a badge are sponsored nofollow. If a badge comes down, there is a grace period and an email before the link changes.

Where we use AI, and where we do not

Articles on our blog are written by an AI model and say so on the page. An AI gateway also triages the review queue — it can flag a submission for a closer human look, and that is all it can do. It never approves, rejects or publishes anything. A person makes every moderation decision.

Votes and comments

Upvotes need a signed-in account, one vote per account, because a leaderboard that counts IP addresses ranks whoever has the most of them. Comments need a confirmed email address. Nothing is ever hard-deleted: a withdrawn comment keeps its place so the replies underneath still make sense.

When a free listing runs out

A free listing runs for a year and can be renewed, free, at any time. When it lapses it stops being promoted — it leaves the feed, the weekly board and the category pages — but its page stays online, so the links and search results it earned are not thrown away.

Getting something removed or corrected

Anyone can file a takedown request or report a listing from its own page. Reports go to the moderation queue and a person reads them.
