DMCA and takedown requests

LaunchLens publishes what creators submit about their own products. If you believe something on it infringes your copyright or trademark, or is otherwise unlawful, send a notice to our designated agent with:

1. Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
2. The work you believe is infringed.
3. The URL of the page on LaunchLens that contains the material.
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

For something that is not a copyright matter, such as a scam, malware or a misleading listing, you can also use the Report link on the listing itself; a moderator reads every report.

What happens next

We review a complete notice promptly. Where it is valid we remove or disable the material and tell the person who submitted it, passing on your notice. An incomplete notice may be returned to you for more detail. A notice that is knowingly false can make the sender liable for damages.

Counter-notice

If your listing was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address, with your name and contact details, the page that was removed, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your signature. Where a counter-notice is valid we pass it to the person who complained and may restore the material unless they tell us they have started legal action.
